Africa University is hiring for the following nine (9) positions:
Advancement Officer: This position is vital for raising funds, fostering partnerships, and managing impactful projects. The Advancement Officer will focus on resource mobilization and strategic relationship-building in line with Africa University’s mission to empower communities.
Facilities Coordinator: Reporting to the Fleet and Facilities Manager, the Facilities Coordinator will ensure the effective management and maintenance of the University’s infrastructure, including planning repairs, supervising waste management, and managing outsourced services to guarantee a safe and clean campus environment.
Fleet Coordinator: The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for the efficient management of the University’s fleet and equipment. This role involves coordinating fleet operations, maintenance, policy compliance, and driver supervision, requiring strong organizational and leadership skills.
Security Officer: Reporting to the Registrar, the Security Officer must create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include monitoring surveillance, inspecting buildings, managing access, and responding to incidents, thus ensuring campus safety.
Fleet and Facilities Manager: Also reporting to the Registrar, this role oversees fleet and facilities operations, ensuring all transport and accommodation needs are met while managing a team and adhering to the unit’s fiscal budget.
Director – Professor Rukudzo Joseph Murapa Institute of Peace, Leadership, and Governance: The Director will provide visionary leadership, promoting competent leadership and governance systems for economic and social development across Africa. This role involves leading multidisciplinary teams in research and community outreach.
Marketing Officer: The Marketing Officer will enhance Africa University’s visibility and reputation through innovative marketing strategies aimed at student recruitment and promoting diversity and empowerment.
Procurement Officer: This detail-oriented role involves managing all purchasing activities, assessing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring adherence to procurement policies, while working closely with various departments to ensure efficient processes.
Executive Assistant to the Vice Chancellor: Responsible for comprehensive executive support, the Executive Assistant will manage communication and information systems while maintaining the tone of the University’s core values.
