If you’re between the ages of 18 and 25 and are passionate about global justice issues, climate change, and building healthier communities, then we have some exciting news for you!
The GOAL NextGen Youth Programme is now accepting applications, and it’s your chance to join fellow young leaders from around the globe.
What is the GOAL NextGen Youth Programme?
The GOAL NextGen Youth Programme is a transformative initiative designed to equip young people with the knowledge and skills required to tackle some of the most pressing challenges facing our world today.
Whether it’s the climate crisis, health system disparities, or social inequalities, this programme will guide you in understanding these global issues while providing an avenue for action and collaboration.
Over the course of 10 online sessions, you will have the opportunity to engage deeply with your peers, learn about pressing global issues, and develop solutions through awareness-raising materials that will contribute to GOAL’s public engagement efforts.
Plus, if you’re based in Ireland, you’ll even have the chance for some in-person sessions—talk about a cool experience!
When and Where?
Mark your calendars! The programme will run from May to July 2025, featuring a mix of online and in-person sessions.
Here’s a sneak peek of the schedule:
- May 24: In-person for Irish participants (11 AM – 4 PM)
- May 27: Online (International participants, 3-5 PM)
- June 5: Online (3-5 PM)
- June 12: Online (3-5 PM)
- June 20-21: In-person retreat for Irish participants (Time and location TBD)
- June 26, July 3-17: Online sessions every Thursday (3-5 PM)
Don’t worry; we’ve thought about your time zones! The sessions are designed to be convenient for participants from various countries.
What Will You Learn?
Throughout the programme, you’ll gain a wealth of skills, including:
- Critical Thinking: Evaluate the systems that perpetuate inequalities.
- Intercultural Communication: Engage with peers across the globe, fostering empathy and understanding.
- Project Management: Learn how to effectively lead projects and awareness campaigns.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with like-minded individuals to innovate and implement solutions.
By the end of your journey, you’ll not only have a better grasp of local and global challenges but will also find the courage and resilience to speak out for meaningful change.
Who Can Apply?
To be part of this transformative experience, here’s what we’re looking for:
- Current resident of Zimbabwe.
- Comfortably fluent in English.
- Aged 18-25 years.
- Available for the designated online and in-person sessions (May – July).
- A demonstrated interest in local and global issues.
- Open to artistic methods of learning (perfect for those passionate about drama, art, writing, etc.).
Having reliable access to a device and the internet will enhance your experience, but not having them shouldn’t stop you! We are committed to supporting your participation.

Financial Support Available
Every participant will receive a €400 stipend to cover internet costs and travel expenses during the programme. We’re invested in ensuring that the cost won’t hinder your participation.
