Job Title: Ambulance Technician II (Grade 6 x 4)

The City of Mutare’s Chamber Secretary Department is inviting applications from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated, and task-oriented individuals to fill the position of Ambulance Technician II. There are x4 posts available.
The Person Specification:
- A minimum of 5 ‘O’ Levels with good passes in English, Mathematics, and Science.
- Valid Allied Practicing Certificate.
- Ambulance Technician Certificate.
- Clean Class 2 or 4 driver’s license.
- At least one year of experience in a similar role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct checks and tests on ambulance vehicles for mechanical issues or accident damage.
- Inspect ambulance equipment for defects and report any faults to the EMT.
- Clean and disinfect the ambulance regularly.
- Restock and refill the first jump bag with necessary medical supplies.
- Drive the ambulance and respond to emergency calls and minor cases.
- Attend to and diagnose patients, providing low-level emergency medical care, including controlling bleeding, administering oxygen, maintaining clear airways, assessing fractures, measuring blood pressure, completing patient report forms, and reassuring both patients and their relatives.

- Assist Intermediate Life Support (ILS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) teams in patient management.
- Receipt ambulance fees or generate credit notes in compliance with procedures.
- Reconcile ambulance fees and submit them to the cashier.
