About the Scholarship

Pernod Ricard is committed to fostering safe and responsible social gatherings where people can unite and combat isolation. We believe in elevating social occasions into authentic experiences of conviviality and sharing, enjoyed responsibly and inclusively, with or without alcohol.

Recognizing the challenges of modern social interaction, including isolation, anti-social behavior, and the harmful impacts of excessive alcohol consumption, we are excited to announce the One Young World | Pernod Ricard Scholarship.

This scholarship aims to support young leaders working to build positive social spaces and address harmful drinking and its wider impacts.

The Scholarship provides:

• Full funding to participate in the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich, Germany (3 – 6 November).
• Participation in the Summit as a member of Pernod Ricard’s delegation.
• Opportunities to shape Pernod Ricard’s interventions at the Summit.
• Expert mentorship to accelerate your initiatives.
• Post-Summit collective thinking sessions to explore the future of socializing.

Who Should Apply?

We are seeking passionate and dedicated young leaders who are actively contributing to building positive social environments and tackling harmful drinking within their communities. Ideal candidates will be involved in projects related to:

• Prevention and education initiatives aimed at reducing excessive alcohol consumption.
• Projects that address social harm related to alcohol use.

• Efforts to foster community togetherness, social inclusion, and combat isolation.
• Projects improving physical and psychological safety in social settings.
• Research on the habits and behaviors of Gen Z, trends in socializing, and the role of alcohol.

To be eligible, candidates must:

• Be of legal drinking age in their country of residence at the time of application.
• Commit to participating in post-Summit collective thinking sessions.

Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship provides:

• Participation in the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich as a Pernod Ricard delegate.
• Hotel accommodation in Munich (2 – 6 November 2025).
• Round-trip travel to Munich (economy flights).
• Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) during the Summit.

• Transportation between the Summit venue and accommodation.
• Access to Pernod Ricard professionals for mentorship and consultation.
• Opportunity to collaborate with other scholars and influence our thinking on responsible drinking.

Post-Summit Participation

Scholarship recipients will engage in collective thinking sessions to explore responsible drinking solutions. These sessions will cover:

• Fostering community connections.
• The role of the hospitality sector in creating safe and inclusive spaces.
• The role of celebrations and alcohol in society.
• Prevention strategies for safe social gatherings.
• The influence of Gen Z on drinking culture.

These sessions will include guest speakers and provide a platform to share ideas, experiences, and recommendations.

Time Commitment:

This commitment involves:

• 1-2 preparatory meetings before the Summit (June-November).
• A physical meeting in Munich during the Summit.
• 2-3 post-Summit meetings.

Individual meetings will be organized with each delegate for introductions. Additional mentoring and consultation sessions may be available.

• The application form will require you to provide details of your project(s) and how you will contribute to the goals of the Scholarship.
• Provide your CV / resume, and two references.
• The Selection Committee will review applications.
