Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent from a reputable institution.
- At least two (2) years of post-qualification experience in public procurement.
- Knowledge of Pastel Evolution and Electronic Government Procurement System (eGPs).
- Familiarity with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (Chapter 22:23) is an added advantage.
- Clean record of service with no criminal record.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Procure goods and services timely and efficiently for the University.
- Implement and adhere to all purchasing strategies and policies.
- Coordinate and consolidate all departmental purchases.
- Monitor supplier performance.
- Produce monthly procurement reports to inform management of critical purchases.
- Determine the procurement method upon receipt of requests.
- Prepare evaluation and procurement reports and assist in compiling the Annual Procurement Plan.
- Provide secretariat services to the Evaluation Committee.
- Compile and submit comparative schedules for bids and tenders.
