Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Client Relationship Officer to work closely with the Senior Relationship Officer and ensure the implementation of sales and business growth strategies in lending.
This role will focus on maintaining a quality loan portfolio for individuals and groups across various loan products under OMFIN.
The successful candidate will identify business growth opportunities, acquire new clients, facilitate account openings, manage account utilization, support mobile banking linkages, and build a sizeable portfolio for both OMUT deposits and personal accounts while ensuring an excellent client experience.
Key Result Areas:
- Proactively market and generate business by recruiting new groups and clients, facilitating loan disbursements.
- Conduct regular visits and calls to customers to ensure effective relationship management throughout the loan process.
- Maintain up-to-date records, including weekly Periodic Transaction Reports and Client Status Reports.
- Cross-sell all Old Mutual Group products and services to existing and potential clients.
- Implement business growth initiatives such as marketing activities, business sign-ups, and explore potential partnerships.
- Prepare loan applications for presentation and conduct credit appraisals for review.
- Adhere to procedures, processes, and guidelines related to credit and operations.
- Address customer queries within stipulated Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor portfolio quality daily and implement remedial actions as needed.
- Maintain strong relationships with borrowing clients.
- Liaise with branch leadership teams and local authorities to reinforce loan collections.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Relationship Officer in group or micro loan lending.
