Role Description:
As an E145 Captain at Fastjet Zimbabwe, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our E145 aircraft.
Your primary responsibilities will include executing flight operations with the utmost professionalism, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort, and adhering to all relevant aviation regulations and company policies. You will work collaboratively with cabin crew and ground staff to facilitate a seamless travel experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Flight Operations: Conduct daily flight operations for the E145 aircraft, ensuring compliance with all aviation safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Safety Management: Uphold the highest safety standards while conducting pre-flight checks, monitoring weather conditions, and implementing contingency plans as necessary.
- Crew Leadership: Lead and manage the cabin crew in maintaining excellent service standards and safety protocols throughout the flight.
- Communication: Coordinate with air traffic control, dispatch, and ground personnel to ensure smooth and timely operations before, during, and after flights.
- Passenger Experience: Ensure the comfort and safety of passengers onboard, addressing any inquiries or concerns effectively.
- Compliance and Reporting: Maintain logs of flights, fuel usage, and any incidents that arise during operations, including mandatory reporting as per regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must possess Zimbabwean citizenship or have the right to live and work in Zimbabwe.
- Valid CAAZ ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License).
- Instrument Rating is a must.
- English Language Proficiency (Level 5 or 6; Level 6 preferred).
- A minimum of 3000 hours total flight time.
- A minimum of 1000 hours of jet time.
- At least 500 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on aircraft exceeding 18.5 tons, OR a minimum of 100 hours as Pilot-in-Command on the specific type (E145).
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
