The Municipality of Marondera is committed to ensuring public health and safety standards for all its residents. We are currently seeking qualified individuals to join our team in the role of Environmental Health Technician.
Position Overview:
The Environmental Health Technician supports the Environmental Health Officer in maintaining public health and safety standards within the Municipality. This role involves conducting inspections, monitoring environmental conditions, and implementing health programs to ensure compliance with health regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in emergency preparedness, planning, and response efforts.
- Conduct inspections of trading and non-trading premises.
- Monitor disease surveillance activities.
- Investigate public health complaints.
- Supervise public toilets and street cleaning operations.
- Oversee refuse collection processes.
- Provide health and safety education to the community.
- Conduct domiciliary visits as needed.
Qualifications/Attributes:
- A Diploma in Environmental Health.
- Must be registered with the Environmental Health Practitioners of Zimbabwe.
- A valid practicing certificate is required.
- A clean criminal record; please attach police clearance to your application.
- A valid Class 4 driver’s license.
