NOTICE OF VACANT POSITION
Position: Filing Clerk
The Grain Marketing Board (GMB) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Filing Clerk. The selected candidate will report to the Human Resources and Administration Officer and will be based at our Head Office.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 ‘O’ Levels, including English Language and Mathematics.
- National Diploma in Records Management or equivalent.
- Certificate in Human Resources Management is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
Core Competencies:
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality and honesty.
- Familiarity with filing systems and record management.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
Summary of Duties:
- Develop and maintain an organized filing system for employee records.
- File all GMB employee documents accurately within personal files.
- Maintain and update employee records daily, including indexing and sorting before filing.
- Monitor the movement of files and maintain logs to track file locations.
- Prepare files for archiving with the central registry as required.
- Ensure proper housekeeping within the filing room.
- Type documents and assist in administrative tasks as necessary.
- Perform any other work-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
