Bindura University of Science Education invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Graduate Trainee – Communication. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to our mission of advancing education and research.
Position Overview
The Graduate Trainee will assist in communication strategies within the University, engaging with various stakeholders and supporting the development of public relations campaigns. This role is ideal for recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of communications.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field, achieved with at least an Upper Second Class (2.1).
- A minimum of one (1) year of relevant industry experience gained during the undergraduate studies or post-qualification.
- Applicants must be under 25 years of age by December 2025.
- Proficiency in desktop publishing software (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Corel Draw) and video production tools (e.g., Premiere Pro).
Essential Attributes
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Strong innovative and creative thinking capabilities, with a knack for developing engaging PR campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
- Familiarity with building and maintaining relationships with media practitioners.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Openness to diverse perspectives and constructive critique.
- Fluency in Portuguese and/or French will be considered an added advantage.
