Introduction:
SILO Foods Industries is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Human Resources Officer. This role is critical in supporting our operations and ensuring our workforce is managed effectively.
About the Role:
The Human Resources Officer will report directly to the Operations Manager and play a key role in managing HR functions, policies, and strategies to support our goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and a deep understanding of HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Manage recruitment and selection processes, including job advertisements, interviews, and onboarding.
- Support staff development through training programs and performance management techniques.
- Administer payroll, benefits, and employee records in compliance with legislation.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Handle employee relations issues, conducting investigations, and addressing grievances as needed.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain data integrity in HR information systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources role.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Professional certification in HR (such as CIPD or SHRM) is an advantage.
