Martcosy Construction is a leading construction firm dedicated to delivering high-quality projects while fostering strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Intern Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
Job Purpose:
As an Intern Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our construction projects by reviewing plans, preparing quantity estimates, and negotiating with contractors. You will also be instrumental in building relationships with clients and site managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tender scouting and prepare tender documents.
- Review construction plans and prepare quantity requirements.
- Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings to gather essential information.
- Address tender queries and ensure due diligence on all tenders.
- Negotiate contracts and facilitate contract signing.
- Document changes in design and update budgets accordingly.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Travel to various construction sites as required.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Sound knowledge of construction methodologies and processes.
- Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively organize, plan, and strategize.
