The New Ambassador Hotel is excited to announce openings for two Junior Chef positions. We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to join our culinary team.
Position Overview:
As a Junior Chef, you will report directly to the Head Chef and play a crucial role in the daily operations of our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills in kitchen operations.
- Assist in menu planning and re-engineering according to guest preferences.
- Oversee food production processes to ensure quality and consistency.
- Manage section production effectively and efficiently.
- Implement innovative cooking methods to control and reduce costs.
- Uphold health and safety standards consistently within the kitchen environment.
Job Specifications:
- National Certificate in Professional Cookery.
- A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar culinary position.
- Hands-on experience in food production and knowledge of service standards.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Strong numerical skills for managing production-related figures.
- Excellent coordination abilities and a passion for healthy foods and green cooking.
- Awareness of customer needs and sensitivity to dietary preferences.
- High levels of personal presentation and professionalism.
- A person of unquestionable integrity, with attention to detail and honesty.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
