Position Summary:
Nestlé is seeking a dedicated and qualified Medical Delegate to join our Infant Nutrition team in Zimbabwe. The successful candidate will be responsible for ethically promoting the importance of breastfeeding and the role of infant nutrition during the critical first 1000 days of a child’s life.
As a Medical Delegate, you will manage relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) within your designated territory and ensure compliance with relevant health codes and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Biochemistry, Nutrition, or Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical Delegate role or as a representative in the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a Medical Delegate role or representative experience in the pharmaceutical industry (minimum 2 years).
- Proficient in data management using digital devices and MS Excel (intermediate level).
Key Responsibilities:
- Product and Concept Detailing:
- Present and promote Nestlé Infant Nutrition’s product range to healthcare professionals (HCPs) within your assigned territory.
- Territory Management:
- Manage a territory comprising approximately 250-300 HCPs, including healthcare institutions and clinics.
- Achieve field effectiveness as per master data management guidelines and execute territory action plans.
- Hybrid/Remote Interaction Model:
- Effectively implement a hybrid/remote interaction model to engage with HCPs.
- Compliance:
- Adhere to the Code Management system to ensure all activities are compliant with WHO International Code for marketing Breastmilk substitutes, Nestlé Instructions, and relevant local regulations.
What Will Make You Successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Biochemistry, Nutrition, or Nursing with relevant experience (2+ years).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate self-initiative, and be results-driven.
- Valid and unendorsed driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel, including overnight trips.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with virtual engagement.
