Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and motivated MEAL Assistant to join our Programs team in Rusape. The MEAL Assistant will report to the Advisor: Programme Quality, Learning & Accountability (PQLA) and support active learning and feedback for our Local Right Programmes (LRPs).
Key responsibilities include documenting outputs and outcomes, monitoring project indicators, tracking performance against targets, ensuring donor compliance, preparing progress reports, and assisting in proposal development.
Additional tasks include data management, capacity building, and collaboration with technical experts to collect data and generate reports.
Requirements
- Degree in Development Studies, Agriculture, Mathematics, Information Systems, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
- Post Graduate qualification in a related field is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the NGO sector
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in Windows Excel and quantitative analysis
- Ability to produce high-quality briefs and reports
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills for effective collaboration across diverse cultural backgrounds
- Demonstrated skills in M&E, data management, and research methodologies
- Capacity to support partners and field staff in meeting program objectives/targets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to detail for accurate data entry
- Decisive mindset with an ability to take informed risks
