At Old Mutual, we believe in the African opportunity and value the diversity of our talent. We are currently seeking a skilled, highly motivated, and experienced Property Manager to join our high-performing team and manage a significant portion of our property portfolio in the Southern Region.
Job Description:
As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of shopping malls, residential, commercial, and industrial properties. You will manage all aspects of property management, including tenant relations, maintenance oversight, financial management, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of diverse properties, including shopping malls.
- Manage tenant relations, including lease negotiations, renewals, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, ensuring efficient and cost-effective solutions.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with local property laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement property management policies and procedures.
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and service providers.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and urgent maintenance issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Property Development and Estate Management, Real Estate Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management, preferably with larger property portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of local property laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MRI or other Property Management Software and Microsoft Office Suite is a distinct advantage.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license.
