VACANT POSITION: REAL ESTATE OFFICER (X2)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill the above-mentioned positions. The incumbents will report to the Estate Manager and will be based at the Eastern and Southern regional offices, respectively.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Property Development and Estate Management or Bachelor of Commerce in Real Estate Management.
- Certification from the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the real estate sector.

- Strong knowledge of real estate management, property management, and valuation.
- Understanding of general maintenance practices for public buildings.
- Excellent written, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic management skills.
- High integrity and professionalism.
- Self-driven with strong business acumen.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
- Plan and oversee the maintenance and repair of GMB properties.
- Conduct inspections of all GMB properties.
- Undertake tenant selection processes and due diligence.
- Negotiate, prepare, and execute commercial and residential lease agreements, determining lease periods.
- Ensure timely collection of rent and preparation of rent statements and schedules for tenants.
- Conduct market surveys on rental rates and make necessary adjustments.
- Assist in legal proceedings for tenant evictions for breaches of lease terms.
- Develop and implement policies and objectives in line with the real estate department to ensure operational efficiency.
- Facilitate property valuations as requested by the Board.
