Who Can Apply?
This scholarship is specifically aimed at eligible researchers from all African countries (excluding Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia).

Important Information for Applicants:
Before applying, please ensure you fulfill the following criteria:
- Academic Supervision: You must provide the name and contact details of an academic supervisor at the Coimbra Group University who will support you during your research period. If you need assistance, visit your chosen university’s website or reach out to the contact person listed in the brochure. Please note that the Coimbra Group Office cannot assist in establishing contacts.
- Letter of Acceptance: Your application must include a letter or email of acceptance from the academic supervisor at the host university. This letter should confirm their willingness to work with you should you secure a scholarship.
- Single Application: Applicants may only submit one application to one institution. Multiple applications will be disqualified.
- Complete Your Application: Ensure all required information is at hand (including your supervisor’s name and acceptance letter) before filling out the application form. Incomplete submissions will be automatically rejected.
- Stay Duration: The dates of your research stay should be negotiated with your academic supervisor and typically will be during the academic year 2025/2026.
